Life can get away from you, and in the chaos of taking care of everything else, you can lose yourself, allowing your health to take a backseat. However, with treatments with Beauty and Body by Mia, you can bring your health and wellness back to the forefront. Vitamin C, for instance, is a powerhouse nutrient, responsible for helping you feel more energetic, productive, and focused. With consistent vitamin C injections, you can live your best life with antioxidant protection, immune system support, and optimum iron absorption.
The Role and Importance of Vitamin C
Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant, helping to protect your mind and body from the damage of stress. With the recommended daily allowance of vitamin C, you can protect your cells from further damage, encouraging inner health that prevents diseases and signs of aging. This nutrient is also vital in strengthening immunities, ensuring you have a solid immune response to fight off colds and flu.
Typically, vitamin C can be found in foods like oranges, grapefruit, strawberries, spinach, and bell peppers. However, our vitamin C injections forego normal consumption in place of a quicker, easier introduction of nutrients into your bloodstream.
The Consequences of a Vitamin C Deficiency
Chronic vitamin C deficiencies can have detrimental effects on your health. Some symptoms of a deficiency include:
- Weakness and fatigue
- Poor wound healing and frequent infections
- Bleeding or swollen gums
- Rough, dry patches of skin and the appearance of red or brown age spots due to weak blood vessels
- Weakened bones
- Heart palpitations
What Adequate Vitamin C Intake Can Do for You
Vitamin C shots can help enhance your protection against illnesses, strengthening immunities to reduce the severity and duration of colds and illnesses. The nutrient also encourages skin cell regeneration and restoration, supporting collagen production for smoother, softer skin. Additionally, vitamin C is great for metabolic health, helping to break down fat cells to improve the absorption of metabolic functions. It’s an excellent tool for weight management.
Conclusion: The Essential Nature of Vitamin C
Vitamin C injections from Beauty and Body by Mia could be your cornerstone of good health and wellness. Adding injections to your weekly health regimen can consistently help you look and feel better. It’s a vital nutrient that you need!
We encourage you to maintain overall well-being and prevent adverse deficiency side effects with treatments that let your body and mind shine their brightest.

by Mia Valleskey | Jul 1, 2024 | B12 Injections
Vitamin B12 is vital to your health and wellness with the primary function of formulating red blood cells to help maintain your nervous system. This essential nutrient is found in animal-based foods, like meat, fish, eggs, and some dairy products, but Body by Mia has isolated its nutritional value with B12 injections to better your mind, body, and spirit.
Did you know that B12 injections are good for anyone with dietary restrictions? Due to allergies and strong aversions, not everyone can consume the kinds of foods with B12 nutrients. However, injections won’t lead to allergic flairs or unsavory aftertastes, making them an ideal choice for someone with a limited diet.
Signs and Symptoms of Vitamin B12 Deficiencies
Deficiencies in Vitamin B12 lead to various health issues, especially if left unaddressed. Some signs and symptoms to look for include:
- Weakness and unexplained exhaustion. The fatigue may feel chronic, and it’s due to a lack of healthy red blood cells.
- Numbness, tingling, and “pins and needles” feeling in the arms and legs, are typically indicative of a poorly functioning nervous system.
- Poor cognitive function, such as memory loss or problems holding focus or concentration.
- Mood swings and extreme depressive or anxious episodes. You may feel explosive one minute, then sobbing the next.
- Mouth ulcers or inflammation of the lips.
For the Mind
Supportive of mental health and cognitive wellness, Vitamin B12 benefits brain health by alleviating depression, reducing brain fog, and enhancing decision-making skills. It also supports strong memory recall.
For the Body
Vitamin B12 injections promote physical wellness by improving vitality, supporting healthy weight management through enhanced metabolic function, and strengthening cardiac function. It aids in the breakdown of fats and the use of energy, helping you shed excess weight to maintain a healthier, happier physique and life overall.
For the Spirit
Feeling better with Vitamin B12 extends to your emotional well-being as the injections help you stress less and promote a calmer, more peaceful state of mind. It also creates harmony between your mind and body by balancing energy levels.
The Injection Process and What to Expect
Usually in either the arm or thigh muscles, Vitamin B12 injections are quick pinches with minor side effects, like soreness at the injection site. You should see an improvement in how you feel, such as increased energy levels and better moods, within a few days of the initial injection.

by Mia Valleskey | Mar 15, 2023 | Microneedling
RF microneedling, or radiofrequency microneedling, is a minimally invasive procedure aimed at teaching your skin to heal itself. Fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, and other skin imperfections are caused in part due to low levels of collagen. As we age, our bodies produce less of it than in our youth. It’s possible to restore lost collagen with fillers and other treatments on the market, but radiofrequency microneedling stimulates your body to produce it!
What Is the Procedure?
When you undergo microneedling, your trained skincare expert will use tiny, fine needles to prick your skin and create small wounds in the top layer of your skin. Radiofrequency microneedling adds in radiofrequency waves. They’re generated by an LED light and produce thermal energy.
Essentially, the combination of tiny needles and radiofrequency waves prompt your body to respond as if it’s healing a wound. It ramps up the production of collagen, which can fill in fine lines and wrinkles, along with healing stubborn skin problems like old acne scars and large pores. Rather than add in something or cover up an issue, microneedling prompts your body to take care of it itself. It’s more like a helping hand (or many ultra-small helping hands) than anything.
What to Expect
Because the procedure creates many small wounds in the skin, expect a bit of discomfort. Usually, things are back to normal within 24 hours but prepare for a short amount of downtime just after your procedure. For the best procedure possible, there are a few things to avoid before microneedling.
- Retin A
- Retinol
- Vitamin A Treatments
- Other topical medications
- Blood thinners (one week prior to treatment)
Following your treatment, it’s highly recommended that you do not use any active skincare for at least 24 hours and avoid direct sunlight, swimming, or activity that could cause sweating.
If you continue to experience discomfort after 24 hours or it feels more intense, reach out to your doctor or skincare expert with any questions. In general, people recover from radiofrequency microneedling quickly and without issue.
Is Radiofrequency Microneedling Right for You?
This type of microneedling procedure is safe and effective for nearly everyone. If you’re struggling with scarring, discoloration, or fine lines and wrinkles, set up your consultation with Beauty and Body by Mia to discuss a microneedling session. Help your skin to care for itself again.
by Mia Valleskey | Jan 13, 2023 | High-intensity focused ultrasound
The holidays are behind us, and we get just a little bit older with every passing minute. We’ve shopped and cooked and made everyone merry. Now, it’s time to turn our attention to ourselves. Why not celebrate the New Year with a gift all your own?
Aging is the ultimate bane of everyone’s existence. Growing older has us seeing lines where there were none before and skin that sags in all the wrong places. The good news is there are techniques we can employ to stop, well slow, the signs of aging. It’s a New Year, so why not bring in a new you with HIFU skin tightening treatments?
What Is HIFU Skin Tightening?
High-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) is a non-invasive treatment to combat facial aging. HIFU creates heat deep within the layers of skin using ultrasound. The ultrasound targets specific skin cells with heat, causing damage, which the body repairs using naturally produced collagen. Collagen is what gives skin its structure and elasticity.
When you think of ultrasound, you likely think of medical imaging, but this kind of ultrasound is different. HIFU is a high-intensity ultrasound that uses high-energy waves to target specified points of the body. Nonsurgical ultrasound treatments can (according to the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery):
- Smooth facial wrinkles
- Tighten neck skin
- Smooth and tighten chest skin
- Lift eyelids or eyebrows that have begun to droop
- Reduce the appearance of jowls
Is HIFU for Everyone?
Because the high-frequency ultrasound beams are focused on specific tissue areas, there should be no damage to the upper layers of skin or the connecting tissues. The treatment isn’t appropriate for everyone. Generally, people older than 30 with mild-to-moderate skin sagging are the prime candidates for the procedure.
People who have more skin sagging or who have skin that has been damaged by the sun may not see results as quickly as other candidates. Older individuals with more extensive skin laxity or extensive sun damage typically aren’t good candidates for the procedure. Sometimes, these individuals require surgery to correct the sagging and damage to their skin.
Skin lesions or infections also prevent people from getting this treatment. It’s also not recommended for those with metallic implants in or around the treatment area or those with severe acne.
Get a Consultation to Help You Decide
If you aren’t sure whether HIFU is for you, contact Beauty & Body by Mia to schedule a consultation to discuss your options. Let them help you ring in the New Year with a new you!
